Jewel's Hatha Yoga inquiry began in 1973, her junior year in college, when she discovered a small paperback book in a health spa. Her personal practice has been a profound source of healing, transformation and inspiration and since 1995 she has earned two teaching certificates:

Jewel Marie also holds: Masters in Isadora Duncan Studies from the Isadora Duncan International Institute, BFA from California State University, Chico with a double major in Painting & Life Drawing, minor studies in Child Development; graduate work in Education Through the Arts with a focus in the preservation of innate intelligence and creativity as the foundation for the development of the intellect. She has been teaching creative multimedia classes for as long as she can remember, and she brings her creativity and joy of teaching to her Hatha Yoga Classes.
